As the highly anticipated year-end shopping season approaches, Nintendo has announced exciting news, forecasting that its popular game series will continue to attract players, resulting in a substantial increase in annual software sales.

Firstly, the highly anticipated game "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2," released in May, has already sold over 19.5 million copies by the end of September. This impressive performance has prompted Nintendo to raise its full-year software sales forecast by about 3% to 185 million copies. This number showcases the strong demand for this game in the gaming market and Nintendo's continued influence in the game development field.

On the other hand, Nintendo has also increased its operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending in March by 11% to 500 billion yen (approximately $33.2 billion). This growth is mainly due to the beloved Nintendo Switch console series, especially the successful releases of games like "Super Mario Brothers: Miracle."

While the full-year sales forecast remains at 15 million units, representing a 16.5% decrease compared to the same period last year, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa stated that this target is neither conservative nor aggressive but reasonable. This shows the company's confidence in its future growth, especially in the highly competitive global gaming market.

Furthermore, this year has been exceptional for the entire gaming industry due to extensive development disruptions caused by the pandemic. However, Nintendo has remained committed to delivering high-quality gaming experiences and has earned the favor of players.

In the upcoming year-end shopping season, Nintendo's game lineup will include some new releases, including "Super Mario RPG," set to be launched on November 17, further stimulating players' interest.

Nintendo's success is not only evident in the strong performance of its game sales but also in its continuous delivery of exciting gaming experiences, making it a significant player in the global gaming industry.
