Nov.16th Madrid - The Spanish Parliament voted on Thursday, securing Pedro Sánchez's successful re-election as prime minister, ending a prolonged deadlock since the inconclusive elections in July.

Sánchez's Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) reached agreements with some regional parties to secure their support, including a controversial amnesty bill that provides amnesty for Catalan separatists, sparking protests across Spain.

This successful re-election marks the end of months of uncertainty. While the conservative People's Party (PP) candidate, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, led in seats, he failed to gain enough support from other parties.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz congratulated Sánchez on social media, stating, "It's a good thing that we can continue to work side by side. We have very similar views on many challenges the world is facing."
