Nov.13th. New York,— Maryanne Trump Barry, the older sister of former President Donald Trump and a former judge, has passed away at the age of 86 in her Manhattan home.

Maryanne Trump Barry, appointed to the Federal District Court in New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 and later to the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit by President Bill Clinton in 1993, played a dual role in her relationship with Donald Trump — serving as both his protector and critic throughout their lives. However, in 2020, recordings were released by Trump's niece, Mary Trump, in which Barry spoke critically of the then-president.

The passing of Maryanne Trump Barry also brings attention to the legal troubles surrounding the Trump family. A probe into her alleged judicial misconduct was dropped in 2019 amid an investigation into the family's tax records. Despite retirement, Barry denied any wrongdoing.

This news follows the losses of two other Trump family members — Donald Trump's younger brother, Robert S. Trump, in 2020, and his first wife, Ivana Trump, in 2022.

Currently, Donald Trump faces legal scrutiny regarding intentional inflation of his property and assets. During a recent court session, his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, was questioned about Trump's involvement. The former president's reaction to the proceedings was notable, leaving the courtroom abruptly and prompting Secret Service agents to intervene.

As the Trump family mourns the loss of Maryanne Trump Barry, the former president continues to navigate legal challenges that further contribute to the complexities surrounding his legacy.
